Next, you'll see the El-Attarine and Koranic schools, a beautiful 14th-century Islamic school, Al Quaraouiyine Mosque, considered by the Guinness World Records as well as UNESCO as the oldest continuously operating, degree-granting university in the world, and a true architectural marvel. After a short break, you'll visit the Nejjarine Museum of Arts and Crafts, where you'll have the opportunity to see traditional tools, carpets, furniture, and musical instruments.
After a lunch break in one of the hundreds of restaurants in the medina, you'll continue to the famous tanneries (Tannery Chouara), where leather is still transformed in the same way it was hundreds of years ago. You'll have the chance to watch the workers from a lookout point, learn about the different jobs, and even negotiate for a new bag or belt if you'd like.
No trip to Fes would be complete without exploring its world-famous souks, and on this tour, you'll have the opportunity to do just that. In the heart of the old town, we'll take you to the different souks of the city, including Talaa Kbira and Talaa Sghira, where you can browse through a wide array of goods, from spices and textiles to jewelry and ceramics.
Before returning to Casablanca, you'll visit the tombs of Merenid, a 14th-century monument with magnificent views of the Sebou Valley. After visiting the tombs, you'll begin the return journey to Casablanca, where you'll be dropped off around 7:00 pm.
